The Tinsel Toes 5k is a festive, family fun run through the beautiful light displays in Downtown Battle Creek. The Tinsel Toes 5k is open to runners and walkers, and is stroller friendly. This is not a timed event.
Festive fun is sure to be had with fun photo booth opportunities, free course photos, and fun prize opportunities (see the awards section to learn about how you can win).
The Tinsel Toes 5k is proud to partner with Girls on the Run of Calhoun County as a charity partner. Read more about the partnership HERE.
Awards
While the Tinsel Toes 5k is a non-timed fun run, we still give you a chance at the podium! Awards are given in the following categories:
- Ugliest Sweater
- Most Festive
- Most Festive Family/Group
- Most Lit Up
- Most Festive Volunteer
The be eligible to win an award, participants must visit the Girls on the Run team at the judging table.
Awards will take place indoors at 6:30 pm.
Course
The Tinsel Toes 5k winds through Downtown Battle Creek utilizing roads, sidewalks and the Linear Path. Participants get to experience almost all of the Festival of Lights displays, including the 12 Days of Christmas. The course is stroller and family friendly with little elevation.

Location
The Tinsel Toes 5k starts and ends at Full Blast (35 W. Hamblin Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
Packet Pick Up
The Tinsel Toes 5k, brought to you by Cereal City Athletics, is a family fun run that weaves through the beautiful Festival of Lights in Downtown Battle Creek. Our focus is on highlighting our beautiful downtown and bringing friends and family together for fitness and festive fun. All proceeds from the event benefit Girls on the Run of Calhoun County. There will be day of registration available at packet pick-up 4-5:15 pm at Full Blast. Participants who register the day of the event will not be guaranteed shirts (they will be available on a first come, first serve basis for day-of registrants).
Event Start
The event start time is 5:30 pm. All runners and walkers will start at the same time.

Girls on the Run of Calhoun County has helped thousands of girls unlock their limitless potential. We are proud to partner with them for the Tinsel Toes 5k. The Tinsel Toes 5k has raised over $18,000 for the program, providing needed scholarships for girls to participate in the program county wide.
