Whether you're trying a triathlon for the first time, or a seasoned triathlete, training is always more fun with friends. Our training program offers weekly group sessions with coaches and a weekly training program to complete or compete. There are several groups/times offered to fit your schedule. Groups meet for 6 weeks leading up to the Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon in Battle Creek, Michigan. Registration is free for Cereal City Athletics Club Members
Middle School and High School Youth are invited to join their own Cereal City Triathlon training group. Registration for the Cereal City Athletics Youth Tri Club includes a training schedule and weekly sessions with coaches for six weeks leading up to the Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon. Focus will be spent on confidence in open water swimming, understanding and practicing transitions, and safety while cycling on the road. The youth program offers training for the "Sprint" distance or the "Super Sprint" distance based upon their skill level and the recommendation from their coaches.
Youth MUST be able to swim in order to participate in this group.
We believe triathlon should be a welcoming sport, and our groups aim to create the supportive community you need to tackle your first or 20th triathlon with confidence. Training groups prepare participants to take on the Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon in Battle Creek, Michigan. Registration for the triathlon is separate from training group registrations. The Cereal City Triathlon and Duathlon offers a Super Sprint distance exclusively for youth participants.
